H1N1 Vaccination Clinics Set to Open to Mass Population in Saskatchewan
As of Monday November 23, an additional 66,500 doses of the H1N1 Vaccine are expected to arrive in Saskatchewan, therefore opening up the vaccination clinics to the general population. Regional Health Authorities are expected to open these expanded clinics early next week depending on local schedules. Town of Shaunavon Awaits Borrowing Approval from Saskatchewan Municipal Board
Shaunavon Town Council has made the decision to borrow the remaining $3.5 Million to ensure the completion of the Wickenheiser Centre. In order to proceed with the loan application, the Town must receive borrowing approval from the Saskatchewan Municipal Board to ensure the community is not over extending its financial status.

Swift Current Fire Department Warns Public of Telephone Scam
The Swift Current Fire Department wishes to advise local residents that a firm called, Firemens Press is soliciting local businesses to advertise in a magazine they publish and goes on to state that the local Fire Department endorses the publication. Swift Current Fire officials stress that they are in no way affiliated with the firm or the publication and that the Swift Current Fire Department does not participate in the telephone solicitation of funds.

Canadian Red Cross Anti-Bullying Campaign Stops in Swift Current
Two youth ambassadors for the Canadian Red Crosss campaign against bullying performed for students at Irwin school Thursday afternoon. The musical duo featured singer Breanne Lawrenson and keyboardist Braiden Turner. The pair performed a number of songs surrounding bullying issues and shared their personal experiences. Both of the musicians were bullied for over five years through middle and high school. They explained how the feeling of being isolated and not fitting in with their peers led to being hospitalized for anorexia but they were able to overcome their sickness through communication with their family members and through their music.

Feature Story: Investigation Continues into Abandoned House Fire in Swift Current
The RCMP and the Provincial Fire Commissioner continue their investigation into a fire which destroyed an abandoned house and garage on 4th Avenue S.E. on Monday night. The Swift Current Rural Fire Department responded to the scene shortly after 7pm Monday to find the buildings engulfed in flames.

Saskatoon Man Back Before the Judge Today in Swift Current Provincial Court
18 year old Mitchell Adam from Saskatoon will appear for a bail hearing Today in Swift Current Provincial Court. Adam is charged with the possession of cannabis for the purpose of trafficking, possession of psilocybin for the purpose of trafficking and theft of a 2009 Dodge Charger. Adam was arrested on a warrant in Saskatoon on Tuesday after failing to show up to his court date on August 24th and made a brief appearance in Swift Current Provincial Court on Wednesday.

Environment Canada is calling for Sunshine and a High of 15 Today. Gusty Southwest Winds from 40-60km/hr will prevail throughout the day. Saturdays outlook includes Cloudy conditions and a High of 10. Sunshine returns to the Region on Sunday with a High of 4.
