Suspect in court

RCMP have identified the man charged in a deadly bar fight in Broadview last weekend.

Karl Eldon Lerat has been charged with one count of murder and one count of aggravated assault.

Matthew Troy McKay was found lying on the floor of the bar in the Broadview Hotel after a fight. A second man was injured.

Lerat turned himself into police Tuesday. He appeared in court Wednesday morning and will be back in court Nov 25.
