Southwest TV News Celebrates 5th Anniversary
Southwest TV News is into its 5th year of providing local television news for the residents of Southwest Saskatchewan. Since launching in March of 2005 Southwest TV New has expanded its on-line video news service to include Province wide distribution on Sask Tel Max Local on Demand and Nationally through SCN- The Saskatchewan Communications Network.

Moose Jaw RCMP Investigate Break and Enter
The Moose Jaw RCMP are asking for the public's help in solving the following crime. Sometime between March 5-7, an individual(s) cut the lock off the outer gate of the Sask Power Switch Station at Pasqua. Once inside the compound, several sheds were broken into and several spools of 2/0 gauge and 4/0 gauge copper wire were taken. Damage was also done to the windows of a forklift and main building.

Update:RCMP Locate Red Deer Woman
Greenwater RCMP are asking for the public's help in locating an overdue traveler. 55 year old, Sherrill Barker of Red Deer, Alberta was last known to be in Saskatoon on the afternoon of March 8th en route to the Rose Valley area. Barker is 5'1, 120 lbs and is driving a 2002 Gold colored Dodge Neon with Alberta license plate LUE042.

Countdown to the 2010 Ford World Womens Curling Championship
With only days until the top Women curlers from around the world hit the ice in Swift Current, the local host committee appeared before City Council last night for a proclamation. City Council has proclaimed March 21-27 as 2010 Ford World Women's Curling Championship Week in Swift Current.

New Clarification Equipment Approved for Swift Current Water Treatment Plant
$1,016,700.00 plus gst was approved by City Council last night to award the water clarification contract to John Meunier Inc. The Actiflo system is a compact process which uses microsand to separate bacteria and other undesirable substances.

Mild Trend Continues for Swift Current Area
Showers and a High of 0 are in the forecast for the Southwest corner of the Province Today. A slight chance of Flurries are forecast for Wednesday with a High of 0. Sunshine returns on Thursday and remains in effect through the remainder of the week. Daytime Highs are expected to reach +7 by Saturday.
